The Knutty Knotter’s journey to dedicated paracord craftsmanship began in summer 2024 while replacing old narrowboat fenders. That simple task ignited a deep dedication to knots, and I was quickly hooked.
Soon, I discovered paracord and its incredible versatility. My commitment to honing skills grew through YouTube tutorials, leading me to create smaller, decorative pieces.
Early on, I launched The Knutty Knotter Facebook page and a MadeMe shop for basic items. Orders came, but my day job forced a pause in production. This unexpected break, however, proved invaluable.
During that time, browsing Etsy revealed the brutal ‘race to the bottom’ for cheap paracord items. Then, I found standout shops offering premium paracord products at prices reflecting true quality. That was my turning point. I immediately reversed my plans. The Knutty Knotter would now stand for uncompromising quality, genuine craftsmanship, and, crucially, Dedicated Paracord Craftsmanship—our defining standard for every knot.
